[ARCHIVED] Happy New Year from Mayor Brunello

As we approach what has been a difficult and challenging year for everyone, I would like to take a moment to reflect on all of the good that occurred in 2020.

I would first like to thank all the employees of the City of Highland Heights for their continued professionalism, hard work, and dedication to our local businesses and all who live in our community.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have provided our community with some sense of normalcy, by being able to provide some programs and activities throughout the course of the year.  Together, we watched our children enjoy their time participating in sports at the city park.  This past summer, we were able to relax poolside, listen to great entertainment at our gazebo, and see our families and their little ones in costumes, enjoy some fun time at our Halloween Candy Maze.  We took to the streets in celebration of many birthday parades, including Memorial Day, the Easter Bunny, and watching the excitement as Santa Claus rode through town.  All of the activities offered were conducted in a fun and safe environment.

I am confident that together we will continue to weather the storm safely. I appreciate all of the community’s patience and understanding throughout this difficult year. I look forward to being able to see all of you once we are able to resume our normal community way of life.

I would like to wish you all good health and happiness in 2021.

Happy New Year!

Stay safe and be well,

Mayor Chuck Brunello, Jr.
