The mission of the Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of all residents, businesses and the general public within the city limits of Highland Heights. The department will also deliver assistance to all cities and villages to which our city relies on for like assistance. The delivery of all services will be consistent with the highest quality at the lowest cost to residents.
Where Should I Go for Care
We are fortunate to have a number of top class medical facilities in the Cleveland area to rely upon when we need medical care. However, emergency rooms within area hospitals are often filled with patients that could receive the appropriate medical care from other more convenient options, such as a primary care or urgent care facility, often quicker and at a lower cost. Please refer to the "Where Should I Go Guide" provided by the Cleveland Clinic or "Understanding Choices for Care" provided by University Hospitals for specific information about where to go for various illnesses or injuries.
We’re proud to protect the City of Highland Heights.
CERT - Community Emergency Response Team

The team also provides support at community events, including first aid, assistance to Police, Fire and EMS, and community outreach in the form of disaster preparedness education. Civic Ready Notification System
As a city, our goal is to provide quality safety services to the residents of our community. We believe this can be accomplished by a proactive safety services force with the ability to communicate critical information in a direct and timely manner. The Civic Ready Notification System allows residents the opportunity to provide contact information so that we may reach you via phone call, text message, email, or all three, in emergency situations. In addition, you may sign up for weather alerts and other less critical information. PLEASE SIGN UP TODAY!
